Black Mountain Golf Club
-Black Mountain was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations. It is set in a valley, just next to the "Black Mountain’s", which are so named because of the large black rocks set into the mountains, providing a nice backdrop to many of the holes.
The Hua Hin golf course was the site for Asian PGA tour events in 2009 and 2010 and the Europe versus Asia match play Royal Trophy in 2011. In 2012 Black Mountain was selected as one of the 100 best golf courses outside the USA by Golf Digest magazine.
The golf course looks as natural as possible and maintains many features of the site before it was a golf course. The most important of these are the small creeks that run throughout the course and the rocks that have been used as design features on many of the holes. The original trees have been kept and many new ones have been planted. The creeks that meaner through the site frame many of the holes.
Imperial Lake View Golf Club
- The Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club offers 36 holes of golf in Hua Hin. The golf course is a favorite with both residents and visitors to the area and is situated a bit inland amongst small farms & fruit orchids on a large parkland parcel. For many golfers this is the most scenic and pleasant golf course in Hua Hin.
The Imperial Lake View original 18 hole A-B course features small streams and a large lake dividing the course in two. This, together with mature trees, blind shots to some greens, undulating fairways and several doglegs, tests the skills of the low handicapper. The long par 3, 14th hole is particularly tricky and features a tee box on a small island and the green at another island 210 yards away - all surrounded by water. There are a number of easy par holes making the course a balanced test of golf also for higher handicappers
The desert course (course C) is uniquely designed to be different in so many ways that each shot must be carefully planned. Mixing these nine holes with those from the main course provides most with an extremely fulfilling round of golf. The Lake View links course (course D) opened in late 2006, adding a further nine holes to the existing three courses. The course plays over a relatively open area with few trees between the holes, thus earning its links name.
The clubhouse at Lake View is basic and offers pleasant ambience and good cuisine. Spacious changing facilities, a grass driving range and short game practice areas are available for all golfers. The clubhouse also features a pool with golf course view and spa. An on-site 3-star golf resort is a popular option for golf groups from Asia and domestic tourists. However, it is located too far from town making it difficult for Hua Hin golf holidaymakers to enjoy any of the in-town Hua Hin restaurants and nightlife.
Palm Hill Golf Club
-Palm Hills Golf Club is located between Hua Hin and Cha Am, near the airport and on the lower foot hills above town. It was the first international standard Hua Hin golf course and opened in 1992. The following year Palm Hills hosted to the inaugural Thailand World Pro Am tournament.
The golf course is laid out on a long strip of undulating terrain which gives the course a Scottish "links" feel, which is different from all the other courses in the area. The Max Wexler layout goes from east to west, with lakes at each end, separated by the clubhouse and an interesting rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range.
The Palm Hills course is lined with hundreds of palm trees, and has plenty of hillside lies, thus the name Palm Hills. Thousands of brightly colored frangipani trees and bougainvillea shrubs add to the natural beauty. he back nine, which plays on top of the mountains and provides stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand and Hua Hin.
Suwan Golf & Country Club
- Suwan Golf & Country Club is in the countryside west of Bangkok. The drive from Bangkok goes through several rural villages that add to the course’s uniqueness. Surrounding fruit orchards, rice fields, palm trees, and lotus ponds make Suwan Golf have a tropical-Thai character which is most appreciated by both golf professionals and golf holidaymakers alike.
Thai Country Club
- Thai Country Club is a prestigious member's course is managed by the Peninsula Hotel, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Thai County is often considered the best in Bangkok as it sets the standard for service excellence. Designed under USPGA international standards by Denis Griffiths, Thai County opened in December 1996. The design adapts to everyday member use up to a very tough challenge for major international tournaments.
The Thai golf course as expected is well-maintained year-round, features a great variety from hole to hole, and an abundance of water hazards and sand bunkers. With its immaculate presentation and conditioning, coupled with a very strong and classic parkland layout, Thai Country Club is regularly voted as a Top 5 course in Asia.
Alpine Golf & Sports Club
- Alpine Golf & Sports Club is one of Thailand's top rated courses, and one of the best in Asia. The layout created by one of America's leading golf course architects, Ronald M. Garl, was the venue for the 2000 Johnnie Walker Classic PGA tournament won by Tiger Woods and again hosted the same event in 2004.
The 18 holes at Alpine golf simply put make up the most challenging golf course in Bangkok, and by a wide margin! In addition to the superb layout this member’s only golf club is extremely well maintained and features lightning fast greens and undulating fairways.
Large stately trees, bushes and shrubs flourish within the undulating parkland layout. In fact, it is hard to imagine that Alpine was originally created from flat rice paddy fields. The changing elevations are more characteristic of courses in Chiang Mai, Hua Hin or Phuket, instead of Bangkok.
